Privacy Policy

The short version. OTTwala has no account and collects no personal data. It sends anonymous usage analytics — which screen and which features got used, never who you are or what you searched for — and, only if you turn notifications on, a device token so we can alert you about titles you saved, and only if you send a "Report a missing title" form, the text you typed in it. Nothing is sold, shared with advertisers, or tied to your identity. Everything else it remembers stays on your own phone.

Who we are

OTTwala is a product of USA Raja Creator Tools, operated by RAJ CREATIONS LLC. You can reach us at [email protected].

Personal data we collect

None. OTTwala has no sign-up, no sign-in and no user profile. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, or any identifier that could be used to recognise you.

What the app stores on your device

OTTwala saves a few preferences locally so it opens where you left it:

  • The languages you chose
  • The period, layout, sort order and light or dark theme you last used
  • The titles you saved as favourites or alerts
  • A cached copy of the film and platform list, so the app works without a connection

This stays on your phone. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and deleting the app removes all of it.

Network requests the app makes

OTTwala downloads a public file listing films, series and the platforms they stream on. This is an ordinary request for a public file. It carries no identifier, no account and nothing about you, and we do not operate a server that logs it.

Poster images are loaded from TMDB's image service, and trailers open in YouTube or your browser. Those services receive the request in the normal way any website you visit would, and their own privacy policies apply once you are there.

Analytics and advertising

The app contains no advertising library, no attribution or measurement tool, and no third-party tracker of any kind. We do not build an advertising profile, we do not use an advertising ID, and we have nothing to share with data brokers because we hold nothing that identifies you.

It does send anonymous usage analytics, to the same first-party service this website's own analytics already use — not a third-party ad or tracking network. What's recorded is limited to: that the app was opened, which language was focused, which named feature was used (search, saving a title, changing sort order, layout or theme, turning notifications on or off, the result of asking for notification permission, opening a title's details, playing a trailer, sending a report, a search that found nothing, filtering by platform), how far down the list you scrolled (in quarters, never which titles), and whether you are on the Android app, the iPhone app or the web app. We never record what you typed into search, which titles you looked at or saved, or anything else that could describe you individually. Each app launch generates a random session id held only in memory for that session — it is never linked to a previous session, a device, or an account, because there is no account to link it to.

Notifications, if you turn them on

Notifications are off by default. If you turn them on, the app asks Apple or Google (via Expo, the toolkit the app is built with) for a push token — an anonymous address for sending that device a notification, not an identifier tied to you personally — and sends it, along with the list of titles you've saved, to a small storage bucket we control. Once a day, after the catalogue updates, that list is checked against what's newly available, and a notification is sent for anything that matches.

Turning notifications off asks us to remove this straight away. If your phone is offline at that moment the request may not arrive, and an entry nobody renews expires on its own after 120 days at the latest. Nothing here is used for advertising, and it is never shared beyond what's needed to deliver the notification itself.

If you report a missing title

The "Report missing title" form sends what you type: the film or series name, what is wrong, an optional language, platform and note, and the app version and whether you are on web, iPhone or Android. There is no account and no contact field, so please do not put personal details in the note. Reports are kept for up to 400 days and are only read by us, to check the listing and fix it. They are not emailed anywhere, not shared and not used for advertising.

To stop spam, the service counts how many reports one internet address sends in an hour. That address is used only inside a counter that expires after about an hour, and it is not saved with your report. As with any website, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) handles your address to deliver the request.

This website

This site is a set of static pages. It uses two analytics tools to see how the site is doing: Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and reports aggregate visit counts, pages and countries without identifying you, and Microsoft Clarity, which records scroll depth and anonymized session behaviour to show us how pages are actually used. Clarity is run in cookieless mode here — it does not set a tracking cookie or build a profile of you across visits. Neither tool is used for advertising, and neither is the same as the app's own usage analytics described above, though both work on the same anonymous, no-profile basis.

Children

OTTwala is a listings app suitable for a general audience. Because we collect no personal data from anyone, we collect none from children either.

Your rights

Rights to access, correct, delete or export personal data — under the DPDP Act in India, the GDPR, or the CCPA — apply to data a company holds about you. We hold none that identifies you, so there is nothing for us to produce or erase. Everything the app knows is on your device and under your control. If you want a report you sent, or your notification entry, removed, write to [email protected] and tell us the film name or when you sent it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change ever means we begin collecting personal data, we will say so plainly in the app before it takes effect.
